How is the programme delivered and what is included?

The Programme Structure

The Confident Consultant programme has been organised into three distinct parts:

Part  A – Your own business – we start by ensuring your own business is set up properly. We’ll discuss your business foundations and how best to ensure you can protect your future and finances.                   

Part B – The programme learning and materials you’ll use with your clients to provide maximum impact and rapid results. This part is broken down over four sequential phases:

  • Phase 1 – Reviewing a business: You will be shown how to guide your client through a critical analysis of their business. Rarely has an SME owner or manager ever been through anything that delivers the impact this stage has.
  • Phase 2 – Designing/Challenging the business for future focus: A series of unique approaches are introduced that will help your client to describe what they really want their future business to look like. Without this clarity it’s impossible to progress, so this is a vital phase. You’ll be surprised how many business owners have never addressed this in detail, if at all.
  • Phase 3 – Building/Developing the business for growth: With tried and tested frameworks and actions you can help your clients to confidently decide on the steps they need to take to move their business forward.
  • Phase 4 – Creating the Plan: The crucial final exercise is to build a robust and workable plan. With clear planning tools and structures the programme gives you, your clients will be able to map their goals and actions onto a timeline, creating a realistic and achievable plan.

Part C – Looking at growing your own consultancy: We turn the spotlight back onto your own business, and discuss how you are going to grow your consultancy. Topics will include:

  • how and where to find clients
  • setting and presenting your fees
  • business contracts, terms and conditions.

If you are concerned about how you will find clients, or how to sell your services to them, this module will cover everything. You will be introduced to high impact learning on how to develop sales.

An added advantage of learning these effective sales techniques is that it gives you another skill to share with your clients. It’s like a two-sided coin – you can use it on your own business, and then share it with your clients.
